Having a smooth flow of heat, electricity and water in your house is crucial, especially on those rainy days when you don\u2019t want to leave the house.<\/p>\n<p>A deregulated utility is an essential energy service (electricity or natural gas) offered by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.troposproject.org\/tag\/urban\/\">https:\/\/www.troposproject.org\/tag\/urban\/<\/a> private companies, not public entities. From there, you&#8217;ll be able to schedule a move-in date for service at  the new address and a move-out date for your old residence. Let them know you want to leave service on at your current home \u2014 and when exactly you want service turned on at your new address. You may even need to keep the lights on in your old residence until your house sells. We recommend checking your contract and calling your current or prospective utility provider.<\/p>\n<h2>Public Utility Board<\/h2>\n<p>Once you know who your provider is, you can visit their website to change the name on the contract and provide your Dutch bank details. Instead, providers are decided by the region you live in \u2014 and there are 10 different ones for the entire country. There is nothing you need to do besides getting a water supply contract in your name.
